some time ago i wrote to you about the dangers of jehovah's witnesses and how they don't deserve charity status because far from helping mankind they are a real danger to it.

More on how I got my family out.
by ImFreeatlast insorry for the delay in posting back all, now that im a worldly materialistic person work keeps me busy j. due to all the welcoming comments and the requests from my first post (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/157384/1.ashx) i thought i would elaborate on how some of the ways i got my family out the way i did.
(i will try and keep this reasonably short j).
because i had already decided just after we got married that i didnt believe the crap anymore i started fading straight away, and i almost made a huge mistake, i was getting on quite well with an elder at the time and mentioned to him that i was a bit disillusioned with it all.

Thanks for sharing. I have realised pretty quickly that in order to get family members out it's better to think in terms of years, not weeks or months.

my daughter gave me two pouches of poison..i put one down - all gone the next morning,!!!.
the next night i put another pouch down, all gone!!

Interesting how music can make you go back in time...
by Jim_TX inthis evening i went to get chinese take-out - as my wife was not feeling too well, and didn't feel like making supper.
after placing my order, i sat at one of the tables - put there for those who decide to stay and eat-in.
this restaurant is a nice one... modern, well lit - and most of its' business, i suspect is from their delivery service.

using humour with cult members
by besty infolks i needs some input on this subject.. i have 3 family members who are shunning me due to their jw belief system and i would like to prime some non-jw relatives on the use of humour to reach out to them.. its not right imho to poke personal fun or be sarcastic or unkind about their belief system so what do we do?.
any suggestions on how humour can be used in this way?.
garybuss + dogpatch - you guys are the experts - please advise......

Like recently, someone told me their daughter was having nightmares because of the illiustrations in the Revelation book. I said "yeah, stay away from Harry Potter but 7 headed 10 horned monsters of Revelation are OK?!"

The second school. A room with a nice big window looking on to the main hall so everyone could see your humiliation. Ironically the same room many went on to get a spanking in later - at a judicial committee!

I am expecting trouble
by Tired of the Hypocrisy ini have been fading for years now.
i give less and less a shit about what the jw's want or say or do.
i love my family and since my wife is still in although also inactive her rabid family is making the fade tough since i love and respect her dad.

Tired of the Hypocrisy, I know what you mean about saying things because you secretly want to get caught, LOL! I find myself doing that at times too.
My dad (elder) knew about the change beforehand and he isn't a P.O. He said it was on the internet. Man did I ever want to press him on specifically which site it was on!!

Has the internet caused all the changes the WTS has implemented?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inhas the internet made the wts so fearful that they need to make changes?
are they changing to become more mainstream?
will they implement more and more changes since most people have the internet and can look up their false history and predictions?.

It has made a big difference but it's not the whole picture. When you think back 10-15 years, the rate of change in the WBTS is quite astounding. I don't think it's a coincidence that this happened at the same time as the advent of the internet.

Finantial Issues of WT
by JWRESEARCH inwt have always been very discreet about their finances.
in the annual totals the sum spent had great increases every year.
however is the evidence is quite clear about the recent fall of contributions - the result was the cut in watchtower and awake.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. There are preobably hundreds of thousands of the r&f on this site and others like it. Mentally and financially they have checked out of the borg. They are stuck in for family reasons but the one act of rebellion they can commit is to stop contributing.
